A Request

Beloved, I want to be transparent with you: I am scared.

Life changed for me and my family on Thursday, and I am struggling every day to accept what we were told. Yes, I know what the Bible says, and yes, I can recall all of those verses on faith. Yet in my humanity, I am struggling right now.

I had a completely different post in mind for today, words that, maybe, had I started writing them on Wednesday, I might have been able to recall them in this moment. Unfortunately, all that is coming to mind right now is the dreaded news of Thursday, and I cannot think of anything else. So, instead of forcing anything else, I am going to lean into what is on my heart and sincerely ask for your prayers.

The song on my heart 💜💛💙

The news my family received reminded me (for the second time this year) how fragile life on earth is. It also reminded me that God reveals things in His perfect timing so that He alone can heal and repair what is damaged. While I’m intentionally vague right now, I can say what He revealed is HUGE, and while I am no doctor, I am sure only He can heal this situation. So, why the tears and fear? Because the healing that I desire may not be the healing that He provides.

He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is wise beyond words and human understanding. He is present in yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He is sovereign; He is the great I AM. And because He is all of that and so much more, a part of me knows that there is a very real possibility that His plans and my wishes do not align in this moment. Yet I know that I have to trust His plans because He can see the entire puzzle at one time, while I am just one tiny piece.

So, today I am just praying. I am praying, and I am asking you to pray with me. Please keep my family in your prayers, as we need God’s peace, strength, and provision in this next season. I thank you in advance, Sweet Friend.

Be blessed.
