About M.E.

Welcome to my little corner of the world!

I wrestled with what to write in this expansive “About M.E.” section because I wanted to be light but impressive, brief but informative, and simultaneously tell you all everything about M.E. Whew! So here it goes….

I am the daughter of a Jamaican immigrant and a Baltimore artist. I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and I am a proud graduate of the city’s public school system. I graduated from Morgan State University in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science in Finance, Walden University in 2014 with a Masters in Public Administration, and Mount St. Mary’s University in 2022 with a Masters of Art in Teaching (Secondary Business Education). I love to learn, so much so that it is almost an obsession. I truly believe that each day on earth is meant to be filled with laughter, learning, and love.

I have a passion for helping others in any way possible. My desire to give back is a family trait, as both my mother and father served as nurses and nurses’ aides in their professional careers. Loving others and committing my life to service is all that I know.

At an early age, I was introduced to Christ and my life has never been the same. While I experienced many setbacks and trials, God has been faithful and merciful. I. Am. Not. Perfect. In fact, I am flawed by nature but I have been saved by grace. I am currently on a healing journey through Christ that has allowed me to revisit the girl that I was, while I journey towards the woman that God created me to be.

God has blessed me with many talents and passions including the gift of writing; I am an AUTHOR! Click here to read my submission in the Spring 2018 Issue of FREED Magazine, click here to read my three submissions in the Summer 2018 Issue of Flash Fiction Aficionado, and click here to purchase your copies of the three available books written by M.E.! Keep them for you or share them with others- the choice is yours!

In addition to being an author, I am also a photographer, licensed minister, a proud member of the Speaker’s Bureau for RAINN and I would love to speak at your next event to share my testimony and help others heal. Lastly, I am also a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor so if you or someone you know needs guidance or assistance, please feel free to reach out to me, the 24-hr Suicide Prevention Hotline at 800-273-TALK, or text “TALK” to 741741.

The website contains my joys and my hurts- the good and bad of who I am. I share it all with you in the hopes that something I say or show may help you in your life. Please read and view with an open heart and allow God to speak to you, through my writings and photographs.

Be blessed,
