May rest by with you.

The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind for me and, to be honest, I am grateful to be on the other side. Between being a student in graduate school, an employee of a school system, a bond-servant in the Lord, and a host of other things, last week was hard and I am still trying to physically recover from it all. Literally, my body is crying out with a pain that seems to be exacerbated by the very acts of everything that I just mentioned, leading me to get an MRI and X-ray this morning in search of answers. Yet here I stand on this Monday morning, simply thanking God for bringing me over to this side.

Continuing in a moment of honesty, today’s #MondayMessage will be brief because pain is dancing up my arm with the stroke of each key, yet I wanted to share one thing with you: there is rest on the other side.

As explained in Ecclesiastes chapter 3, there is a season for everything under the sun. Whatever your current season may be, I want to take a moment to encourage (or remind) you that rest is coming soon. If your current season is laborious and extremely difficult for you, rest is coming. You will reap from the seeds that you’ve sown and God’s bountiful blessings will come to you soon. If your current season is plentiful and fruitful, rest is coming soon. Meaning, what appears to be a delay or stillness in your life may come… but God is still faithful.

Again, whatever your season, rest is coming- so prepare for that rest by fully serving God in your now.

Too often we relish or funk about in our current season, thinking that this is where we will be forever. Let this be your reminder, that seasons come and they go… but our God remains faithful, even in the change. Hold onto His unchanging hand and trust Him in all seasons.

Happy May to you, Beloved.
Be blessed.
