Jehovah Shalom…

Dear Lord,

Please hear my prayer…
As I look around me at all that is happening in my life, my mind wants to doubt you and run away scared, completely full of fear.

“Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”

The words of Job echo in my ears and strengthen my heart.
It is because of Your truths that I will not fall down in despair.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills because that is where my Help comes from.
You are my help and You are my strength.
Lord, I will trust You and I not lose my faith in you.

But today, Lord, I ask for one thing-
Your peace.
I humbly ask that You would shower me with Your peace as I go through this storm.
I know that I will survive the storm because Your word says that weeping will only endure for a night before joy comes in the morning…
I just need Your peace to calm me as I travel through it all.

With Your peace I know that I will be able to withstand any bumpy roads that lie ahead.
With Your peace I know that I will be able to hold Your hand without any fear.

Lord, I know that this prayer isn’t pretty, I know that this prayer isn’t perfect…
But it is my heart’s prayer.

Please incline Your ear to me; please hear my heart’s prayer.
Lord, please send Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

You are my strength, You are my peace.
