My request…

On this last day of Women’s History Month, I want to take a moment to share something different.

During my eight-year journey as a blogger, I have intentionally focused on writing from a place of healing as I continued to seek God. If one were to line up all of my posts, it might appear as though I go forward one step, only to go back two more. Well, that is kind of true. You see, healing is not linear, and it is not forward motion only. The way God works often seems circular and weird to others, but nevertheless, He will get the glory in the end.

However, today, March 31, 2025, I am taking a moment of personal privilege to make one request of you- please, rest.

You see, today not only marks the end of Women’s History Month, the month right after the other month that means so much to me- Black History Month, but it is also the end of Quarter One of this new year. Putting on my finance hat for a moment, when we break the year down into quarters, we take our yearly goals and divide them into smaller, more manageable chunks to accomplish success. And that is what I am asking you to do, Beloved. I am imploring you to rest on this day and extend grace to yourself so that you will be able to endure this race until the end.

The journey ahead of us will be undoubtedly harder than anything that we have ever faced before, and it will require more of our physical and mental strength than we’ve ever given before. It is imperative that we get the adequate rest that we need now so that when the moment comes that we must fully exert ourselves and give our all, we have a mighty “all” to give.

My message today is intentionally brief because you and I need to rest! Please, take some time this week all to yourself and just be still.

I love you, Beloved.

Be blessed.
