Grace to reunite

Family. The people that God created for you to learn from and grow with throughout your time in life.

This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to South Carolina and spend time with my family. As I’ve mentioned in many posts before, I did not grow up with my father and I did not know his side of the family. On his side, I have an older brother, a sister-in-love, two nephews, two aunts, two more uncles, and a host of cousins too numerous to count. The one thing that I did not have with this side of the family is a working and functional relationship.

In recent years however, I have seen God begin to make a shift in this area of my life. I saw Him open doors of communication and allow for healthy reconciliation between me and the family that I did not grow up with. I am both humbled by and grateful for this opportunity.

Beloved, the purpose of today’s brief #MondayMessage (as I am still sleepy and trying to recover from traveling over 1300 miles over the course of a weekend) is to encourage you to reunite with others. God never intended for us to do life alone; family and friends are essential to our survival. While I never encourage the reunification of unhealthy or toxic relationships, I do encourage you to meet with God to allow Him to determine who should be in your life and who should not.

Grace is a beautiful thing. Today is the first Monday in the seventh month of the year- God’s year of GRACE towards me- and I am truly still continuing to delve deeper into the meaning and beauty of that word, GRACE. It’s such a multifaceted word that continues to grow my heart with each passing day. And I wish that for you. I wish God’s continued grace in and over your life… but I also pray that He would touch your heart so that you may have grace to reunite with people who He deemed necessary for your life.

I love you, Beloved, and as you continue to pray and trust God, I invite you to enjoy pictures from my weekend with family by clicking HERE.

Be blessed.
